I still love Michael Jackson.

I still love Michael Jackson. If only for the fact that he did songs like Human Nature. It’s one of those ‘take me away from this place into a fantasy land where everything is magical and I feel so good inside for about three minutes’ songs. And he’s done so many of those types of songs that it’s hard to write him off. The album Dangerous alone is enough to qualify him as the King of Pop for me.

  3. If you like that style in Mike go right now and download his new song “Butterflies”. I haven’t heard him sing like this since Off The Wall. The song is fabulous.

  4. I still keep all my old MJ cds and listen to them once in a while, Human Nature and Thriller are my faves.. The problem with MJ now is that he looks like something out of Buffy.. And the fact you can’t play his new CD on a computer CD-ROM drive, grr.. I’ll stick to the classics..

  5. I listened to Butteflies after a recommendation on Anil’s site. It’s not too bad. I’m looking forward to the new album. Of course I HAVE to buy it otherwise my best friend (read MJ fan) will maim me.
    And Simon, you Steps’ fans have NO taste 😉

  17. I’m going even further back, and listening to the Jackson 5 album Triumph. A great example of Funk/Disco.
    By the way, a lot of Afro-American artists tend to use Muslim names e.g. Queen Latifah, Aaliyah. However they are NOT Muslims.

  33. MJ joined NOI as insurance for the possibility of going to prison. Many american blacks in prison embrace NOI. The NOI prisoners protect each other from the latino and white nazi gangs. Without that affililiation and protection, MJ would be dead or maimed in 3 months.

    The true Islam is of the Ahmadiyat. I respect the Sunnis beliefs but the Ahmadis are the true muslims because they teach the correct sayings of the Holy Prophet which have been misenterpretated by the Sunni Muslims.
