I befriended a rather strange Bangladeshi woman at the swimming pool yesterday. Our initial encounter was less than ideal; I thought she was drowning and alerted the lifeguard only to be told, “she always does that”. “That” being floating face down in the pool for a rather long time.
We hardly spoke the same language but I still managed to convince her to race me, mainly because she was the only other person there who was not a five year old or a mum of a five year old. Also because she was the only other person who could swim. Always helps.
We made quite the pair. I was top to toe in black Speedo gear; she was wearing a shalwar kameez that goes transparent on contact with water. Thank God for granny pants is all I’m saying.
She turned out to be quite the worthy component, my victory on the backstroke lap was shortlived after she trounced me in the underwater section of our competition.
I feel that my swimming sessions will be much more interesting from now on. I came away with two hours of good exercise under my belt, a couple of prawn curry recipes and a stubbed toe from trying to do the butterfly stroke in the shallow end.

Hi. I found this website while searching for words “Hot Speedo Paki Girls” – so um..where’re the pics?
I’m saving them for my husband’s private collection.
Thank you saima, I’ll take them now. 😛
But seeeriously!, if she (bangladeshi) was such a good swimmer, why didn’t she wear a suit ?. Wearing shalwar kameez in water is just… wrong, man. And btw, can you dive ?. That’s one of my phobias from childhood. I am afraid I’ll crack my pretty head open. 🙁
