I have a tattoo, and believe me, if I can do it, you can. I’m the world’s biggest coward, but whenever I remember how it felt, and how much it hurt, I want to do it again. Weird? Me?
No, I sort of understand. Like that pain when you pick a scab, it just feels kind of good….does that make me some sort of sado-masochist? Oh well 🙂
Tattoos, I want one badways, i am trying to see if a semi permenant one is okayish in relation to Islam. If its only gonna last a few years, it should be okay… But i need to research it. Sai Sai, do you know of anything?
From what I know it stops you doing full wudu so you can’t have it, semi permanent or not but I’ll look it up.
Other forms of pain I enjoy: flossing, dental surgery, biting on semi-erupted wisdom teeth, having my hair pulled, and others…..uhum….
As they say…. where there’s pleasure there’s pain.
This is the sickest things I’ve ever seen… but that’s what I picture in my mind whenever I see body piercings, even ear piercings:

Oh man! That looks like a scene from ‘The Cell’ which freaked me out.
Tattoos — two of em. Blackwork & large. Getting one? Two rules. Make sure its something you won’t be embarrassed about when you are 65 and make sure its in a place which, when your body stretches to all hell when you are 75, doesn’t look stupid.
🙂
Oh and don’t let anyone tell you it doesn’t hurt… luckily even pain subsides to a dull itch after 2 hours.
About the wudu thing, some scholars think that it isn’t a problem if you use the ink that has a vegetable base. Others say you shouldn’t hurt your body regardless.
Always someone out there spoiling our fun.
