I watched V for Vendetta at the weekend. It shows the world in the future; the horrible prejudices, evil injustices and iron grip that the media has on our opinions. Oh, how different from 2006(!) I don’t mean to sound so cynical but the movie really captures a lot of what is wrong with the world today. It exhibits massive foresight on the writer Alan Moore’s part considering he wrote this back in the early 80s.
I won’t give too much else away. I highly recommend you go watch this as you’ll be amazed by the similarities between the themes throughout the movie and the current state of the world. I also recommend talking about it extensively with other people after you have seen it mainly because it annoys them and especially if they haven’t seen it yet.

Why do girls always relate to movies who have stronger female lead roles?
Amazing film, made me feel great afterwards, I am glad it was so strident. I see on The Guardian site the critics hated it but by and large the punter reviews have been positive. It inspired my fried to make fried egg on fried bread- so it’s moving too. It’s a film that manages to have style and content.
