I love my cookbooks. I have tons and tons of them but I have my firm favourites too. The Hummingbird Bakery is a cupcake bakery in Notting Hill and their cakes are to die for. When I heard they were releasing a cookbook I pre-ordered it straight away and was dead excited when it finally arrived in the post. I have used it countless times and it never fails to disappoint. I have many books with delicious American baking recipes but this one is much easier to follow as the measurements and ingredients are geared for the British reader. I have made the Red Velvet Cupcakes many times and recently the Chocolate Muffins (pictured below) which turned out really moist and were an instant hit at a family picnic. I can’t recommend the The Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook enough!
