  1. I’m gonna have a Microsoft Excel test for an interview Saima. And I know you love Excel, so put the woman search on hold for a bit and please give me some top tips of what things I should know. I’m making a career change into finance so I don’t know how management accountants use Excel. Should I know how what-if analysis, vlookup and pivot tables are done? Any suggestions? Any sites you’d recommend? If you can help that will be cool, if you can’t that will be less cool but still cool.

  2. I’d say vlookups are a must. Pivot tables are very handy to know for data presentation and analysis and if you have macros under your belt you’re good to go. Make sure you don’t overlook the little things like subtotals and paste special.
I’d recommend this site http://www.excel-vba.com/ Excellent tutorials. I’d go through the whole lot.
I’ve had a test before for Excel but it was by an agency and very basic. I’d research on the format of the test so you can be prepared.
    Hope that helps 🙂
